Back to Roots is a small local business/family farm owned and operated by Dan and Wendy Dillon and is located in Woodstock, ME. As the name so appropriately suggests, Dan and Wendy have built their business creating specialty food products using old-time methods as well as unique and rustic crafts using vintage and natural elements made to reduce, re-use and recycle.
At Back to Roots they grow, harvest and can specialty food
products straight from their own gardens.
Their products include dilly beans, dilly pickles, cucumber relish,
herbal dip mixes, gourmet popcorn and flatbread. They also make evergreen
wreaths and other home goods with the same imagination and old-time flare as
they use to make their food products.
I was the lucky recipient of a nice gift bag from
Back to Roots just this week that contained three different types of gourmet popcorn
and two of their herb dip mixes. While I
have yet to try the dip mixes, I have been able to try their garlic & herb,
sweet & salty, and plain jane popcorn and they were all truly amazing!
Take a moment today and check them out on Facebook
and like or follow their page. They run
specials from time to time that are exclusive to Fb and they also keep you informed
of any special events where they will be selling their products. You can
search and/or message them by @backtoroots on Facebook and you can also contact
them by phone at 207-890-4320.
Back to Roots products can be found at The Fare Share
in Norway, Nabos in Bethel, The Local HUB in Greenwood, Philbrook Place in
Bethel, the Good Food Store in Bethel, and The Old Squire Market in
Norway. They are also available for farm
